Great question. It will depend on what the glue is made from. I have found that the product “Goof Off” works well on some glues. It is available at several retail stores. The old upholstery guys I knew would use paint thinner, but you need to be very careful with this method.

As for the white window rubber, I have not seen this for years. Most of the rubber would start to turn yellow after a short amount of time.
