I got 1970 vw beetle convertible, some of the fuses are missing, could you please tell me where to find fuse diagram, l don’t know how place them. white, and blue ones thanks.

Hi Fulton,

Thanks for the question. On your fuse box there will be a total of 10 fuses. Fuses come in 3 amp ranges. These are 8 amp (white), 16 amp (red), and 25 amp (blue). In the VW air cooled cars, I have never seen a 25 amp (blue) fuse used from the factory. The wiring is not rated to handle 25 amps. In your 1970 you should have 9 of the 8 amp(white) fuses and one of the 16 amp (red) fuse. The 16 amp (red) fuse goes in the main fuse spot that is the second position from the side and this powers the ignition switch and headlight switch. This can be identified by the red 12 gauge wires going to this pole of the fuse box. I did not find a fuse schematic, but I did find a wiring schematic:
