Working on installing disc brake conversion kits on front and back of our bug….  Do the calipers need to be painted, or a the gold finish on them corrosion resistant?

Hi Jeffrey,

Thank you for the question. All of the AC Industries calipers have a gold Zinc coating. This adds a level of corrosion protection, but it is not bulletproof. If you are concerned, I recommend Googling information on the Zinc coating.

That being said, we sell thousands of calipers a year, and we do not have calls complaining about rusted calipers!
