I will be buying conversion kit #113398700, Candaces was helpful in letting me know about core and delivery fees. The  car dose not have a clutch cable tube any help to install one would be great.  Also should I change the starter, axels and oil pump ??

Hi Richard,

I just did my first clutch tube install on a friend’s 1970 Bug Autostick conversion.  I will get the measurement of the tube.  We also took photos of where we needed to open the tunnel to tack-weld the tube into place!

As for the CV axles and the starter, you will reuse these parts.  These items will fit right up to the 4-speed transaxle.

For the oil pump, the original AutoStick oil pump is two pumps in one.  The engine oil pump section is separated by a plate with seals from the AutoStick side.  It is not necessary to change the pump, but I do recommend plugging off the AutoStick oil pump fitting so no dirt or debris finds there way inside the pump.
