Disc brakes
Hi Andy,I have installed 4 wheel disc brakes. Do I need a dual circuit master cylinder? If so, what parts do I need to do this? Cheers! Mark

All VWs had a dual-circuit master cylinder starting in 1967. On a Type 1, this master cylinder would have had a 19mm bore, and it works well with 4-wheel drum brakes and on the Ghia with front disc and rear drum.
When AC Industries, as part of the So Cal Imports family of businesses, started making rear disc brake kits 25 years ago, we found that a larger bore master cylinder was needed to power up the 4 calipers and keep the correct front-to-rear bias. We designed the first bolt-in replacement upgrade master cylinder on the market. This is part number 113611020BAD.
