front disc brake caliper bracket

Hello,

I’m moving forward and installing my f1ront disc brakes. The caliper bracket that came with the kit has 1 large center hole and 6 small holes for mounting the bracket to the spindle. I noticed my stock spindle has only 3 holes for mounting the bracket and they don’t line up. Do I just tilt the bracket downward until the mounting holes line up? Any help with this is appreciated.

Thanks Chris.

Hi Christopher,

The bracket for the 498420 kit is made so that the bracket fits both stock and lowered drum spindles.  Due to this, the bracket rotates down under the steering arm and tie rod end.  So yes, just as you stated, you will rotate the bracket until the holes line up with the threaded holes on the spindle.

Thanks, Andy
