Front drums and wheel bearings

I have a kit car that I am having trouble with ID on the year. I thought I had a 66. Ordered new drums all around and bearings on the front. Rears fit but fronts seem to be for a smaller spindle.
the bearings I removed are labeled A-17304 /17305 for outer and inner respectively. Drum is labeled 113 405 615A. Which seems to be for a 65 or older type 1 but when I look up the corespondent bearings that always seem to come up different. For instance, a BRG BR30305 is supposed to be for a front outer but matches my inner bearing size.
the engine in the car is a ‘70 1600 and the car has a swing axle so I’m not certain this isn’t a menagerie of parts and the front could be something completely different than I think it might be.
Unfortunately I already painted all the drums so I guess I’ll be looking to sell the fronts I have.

Hi Adam,

I believe the first item to work on is to confirm what year the VW floor pan is.  Do you know where to find the VIN on the pan?  If yes, what is it?

If no, it is stamped on the top of the tunnel, in front of the access hole for the shift rod coupler.

Also, can you send me some photos of the spindle?

Thanks, Andy
