Hello,

I am looking for a “washer” that I think goes on the top body side of my 1974 VW. I attached a picture. For some reason my car only has one, and when I jack the car up, the whole strut assembly and spring from the other side that is missing this piece drops away from the body.  I can’t find it on any suspension diagrams, what is the name of it and do you have one for sale?

Hi David,

Thank you for your question.  Yes, I have seen this item before when servicing a Super Beetle strut.  I have looked in our supplier’s catalogs and have not found any company that offers this item.  Most likely, you will need to find a used strut assembly to rob this part from.
