Headlight Assembly Question

I have a 1957 vw karmann ghia. Will your compleTe headlight assembly fit my car. If not, is it because of the tabs. Next, the 57 headlight chrome trim ring. Will it fit your assembly. Provided I can get your headlight assembly to fit. Thanks

Hi Ron,

Thank you for your question.  On Ghia’s produced before 1964, the headlight ring and the bucket are all connected and are completely different than the 1964 and newer headlight buckets.  I personally have never seen the headlight assemblies be successfully interchanged.

With the rarity of the first generation of Ghia’s and their rapidly increasing value, it would be my suggestion to find the correct headlight assemblies and keep your car stock.
