Good afternoon, I bought kit no. 498560 the no hassle wide 5 front disc brake conversion kit, fits 64 to 67 bus/T2. My question is, the master cylinder no.211-611-011QSP that came with the kit. Dose this master cylinder need the ball value removed from it for four wheel disc brakes or has it already been removed?? 211-611-011QSP from kit 498560.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your question.

On the 498560 kit with master cylinder part #211611011QSP, the master cylinder does have a disabled residual check valve for the front circuit.  The rear circuit still has a functioning check valve.  If you are installing rear disc brakes, you will need to remove the check valve ball so that your rear calipers do not retain residual pressure.

Thanks, Andy
