my 73 bug eng code is AM…. cannot find that in my books or ‘net

also, my VIN is not within the vin ‘range’? for the year??

or humm… did i buy a Mexican Beetle???

Hi Butch,

According to my records, it looks like a VW with a VIN of 1332230438 should be a 1973 Super Beetle produced in Oct 1972.

I do not find any original engine codes of “AM”.  It could be a new engine block that someone stamped their own number in.
