I am interested in the AC Industries Disc Brake Conversion. I am running a flipped spindle on my bus with aftermarket wheels and I was reading trying to find out if a flipped spindle will work with your kit.

Hi Chip,

Thanks for your question.  In the info that you have supplied to me, it states that your Bus is 1961.  Please note that kit #498560 fits Buses 1964-1967.  We do not make a disc kit for Buses 1963 and older.

As for Buses that are 1964-1967 or that have this late style king and link pin suspension on an earlier Bus, our kit #498560 will work on a flipped spindle with no modifications needed.

For those new to the VW community, the reference to a flipped spindle is regarding a front spindle that has been installed upside down from the factory design.  In doing so, you can safely lower the front end of the Bus.
