Old engle cam with new lifters

I am planning on reusing an old w120 cam in my engine and will need new lifters. I bought this probably 15yrs ago (maybe a bit longer) used it up until 5 yrs ago, and have just shelved it cause it still is looking good. Are your current engle lifters recommended to be used with this cam?  Unfortuanately, I had cleareanced it for a stroker crank, so I can’t see what blank it was cut from. I know there’s a lot of talk online about “don’t use these or those lifters with such and such cam blanks”. Will I have issues with your current lifters?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Daniel,

Our Engle lifters are compatible with all of our past, present and future camshafts.  You can purchase these with confidence.  The main thing is that you will need to go through the same break-in procedure with the new lifters/used camshaft as you would as if both components were new.  If you are not sure how to do this, please get back to me.  Failure to do the correct break-in procedure can cause the camshaft to fail!  Lastly, don’t forget to use a high-quality brake in lube and oil with high zinc content.

Thanks, Andy

Sweet! I have broken in many cams (including this one) so I will proceed as usual. Thank you!
