What is the difference between a stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 clutch / pressure plate kit?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the question. The difference in the stages of pressure plates is the amount of clamping pressure placed on the clutch disc.

Kennedy Engineering uses to rate these in LBS like this:

Stage 1 = 1700 lbs

Stage 2 = 1900 lbs

Stage 3 = 2100 lbs

Stage 4 = 2300 lbs
