Restoration

Hi,
I have a 1965 beetle. I want to strip it and restore it but as a split window model of the early 1950’s or if that’s difficult then as an oval window model. Which body parts will I need to buy from you or from elsewhere which (from my 1963 car)will not fit into the split window or the oval version. I intend buying a new engine, transmission and disc brakes for this project too. Please advise how should I go about it. Thanks. Arif.

Hi Arif,
This sounds like an interesting project. With this much work, there is no way it can be accomplished via E-mails. To start your journey, I would suggest you search the internet for a how to book on restoring a VW Bug. There are several out there. This will give you basic ideas and help you with some decision processes you must make.
When it comes to more specific questions or products, we will be happy to help with those as they come up.
