Transmission mount

I want to solid mount my transmission. The kit that I have has a different bolt up then the mount I have on my car. Am I missing something here?

Hi Jaren,

All the current ridged transmission mounting kits are only designed to fit 1972 and older cars.  In 1973 and newer cars, VW made a significant change in the factory engine mounts.

I have looked, and I do not see anything available for your 1973 car.

Your next best option is to install a padded trans strap kit. This can be installed in your 1973 and newer-style chassis.
