is there a difference between a reg. bug window regulator and a convertible window regulator we are talking about a 1966 convertilbe vw?

Hi Roland,

Thank you for your question.  The sedan and the convertible are completely different on the Window regulator and will not interchange.  Please know that the 1965-1967 convertibles are the same.  The 1968-1979 look the same, but the drive stub, where the handle attaches, is shorter on the later model, and you will not be able to attach your stock 1965-1967 window crank handle. Be careful when you are looking for a replacement.
