Description
Adjustable rear torsion spring plates for IRS cars with 24-11/16” torsion springs. This item will allow you to adjust the rear suspension up or down approximately 2”.
Note: Stock rubber bushings will not work with the adjustable spring plates. Required for installation you will need two of part #510003 inner bushings with a diameter of 2” due to the larger inner diameter of this part and two of part #510002 bushings with a 1-7/8” diameter for the outer.
Note: On 1972 and later cars, you may need to drill a 4th hole to use all the mount bolts from the spring plate to the IRS control arm
Note: This part will only work on 1968 Beetle’s and Ghia’s that were originally equipped with an Autostick transmission and IRS. For 1968 Beetle and Ghia with a manual swing axle transmission see part #501320
