This chrome metal door release lever is a direct replacement for the left door only, 1967 through 1979 VW. Please see the fitment chart for what this fits. Once the original lever breaks, the only option is a replacement.

Note: This part will only work on cars where the inside door lock is operated by the pull button at the top of the door. If your door unlocks from the inside at the inner door lever, this item will not work on your car.
