One of the best upgrades you can do for your classic air-cooled VW is to upgrade the old drum brakes to disc brakes. The AC Industries’ No Hassle Disc Brake Conversion Kits now makes it easier than ever! AC Industries was the first in the industry with a 100% bolt on, zero offset disc kit. This kit is so simple to install, that if you can repack your own wheel bearings, and bleed brake, you can do this install yourself. There are no spindles to change, just remove the drums and backing plate and replace them with the supplied O.E. quality disc brackets. Install the new rotors, calipers and updated master cylinder (not included) and bleed the brakes. Yes, it’s that simple! And if you have the common lowered drum spindles already on your car, this kit also works!

• (2) Rotors with VW Wide 5 pattern – 5 x 205mm, drilled and tapped for 12mm & 14mm screw-in wheel studs (available separately)

NOTE: Stock 19mm bore master cylinders will not work with this disc brake kit. A new master cylinder is required to power this disc brake kit:

• #211611011JSP Master Cylinder, 22mm Big Bore Single Circuit, fits ’50-’66 Bus and #211611301C Brake Fluid Reservoir, Single Circuit, fits ’50-’66 Bus. Requires two 8X50mm bolts and two 8mm nylock nuts to mount.
NOTE: Kit reuses backing plate bolts to mount caliper bracket.
NOTE: Requires 15″ wheels or larger. This kit will not work with 14″ wheels.
NOTE: Kit works with stock and common dropped drum spindles.
