Why buy a new set of pistons and cylinders when you can change just the rings and save money!
The principal function of the piston rings is to form a seal between the combustion chamber and the crankcase of the engine. As rings wear, the ability to perform these functions is decreased resulting in oil consumption and blow-by. When this happens it is time for a new set of rings.
Ordering Note: To ensure the proper ring size please measure piston diameter along with the thickness of the ring grooves or the old set of rings themselves.
