Description
This unit is designed for the VW application that originally used a six volt charging system. The application must be converted to twelve volt in order for the IMI unit to work. The unit is similar to the IMI-101 but has a larger diameter pinion gear for the 109 tooth flywheel. Will fit early Beetles, Ghias, Buses and Type 3’s with 12 conversions. Sold each.
Application Note: Volkswagen converted to 12 Volt in 1967, however most cars prior to 1967 have already been converted to 12 Volt. Please verify your cars electrical system before ordering.
