The perfect repair swing axle boot when a total transaxle teardown is not desirable. If your old boots leak, this is the quickest and most economical fix. Perfect to keep as a spare in your tool kit, just in case of an emergency. Do not over-tighten screws, as this may cause the boots to leak.
Note: The clamps that come in the boot kit can be difficult crimp-style clamps. So Cal Imports sells traditional screw clamps with rolled edges to protect against cutting the boots, including the small end clamp #111501159B and the large end clamp #111501157B. These screw clamps make this challenging job of replacing the swing axle boot MUCH easier.
