The perfect repair swing axle boot when total transaxle tear down is not desirable. If your old boots leak, this is the quickest and most economical fix. Perfect to keep as a spare in your tool kit just in case of an emergency. Do not over-tighten screws or the boots will leak.
Note: The clamps that come in the boot kit can be difficult crimp-style clamps. So Cal Imports sells traditional screw clamps with rolled edges to protect against cutting the boots, including the small end clamp (#111501159B) and the large end clamp (#111501157 B). These screw clamps make this challenging job of replacing the swing axle boot MUCH easier.
