Weber Carburetor Filter Screens, fits 40-48 IDF Weber Carbs and others with Velocity Stacks. Sold as pairs.
Filter screens help to keep larger debris from entering the carburetor venturi. The filter screens fit inside velocity stacks that are approximately 48mm on the inside diameter at the inlet. These are designed to be used on VW Air Cooled motors with the following carburetors.
Application Note: This product will fit vehicles equipped with the following;
- Will only fit velocity stacks with an inner diameter that is approximately 48mm top opening
- Weber IDF, 40, 44 and 48.
- Weber DCOE 45-only
- Dellorto DRLA, 36, 40, 45 and 48
- EMPI HPMX, 40, 44 and 48
- Not for Off-Road Use!

Installation Notes;
These “Dome Stack Screens” fit within the throat of most Weber Velocity Stacks. They may be adjusted slightly with pliers to fit slight variations in the diameter of the Velocity Stack. i.e. 44-IDF to 45-DCOE.
- Push the dome into the velocity stack with your fingertips on the outer ring. DO NOT PUSH ON THE MESH DOME.
- To remove the dome, use small pliers to grip the tabs on the outer ring. DO NOT PRY ON THE EDGE – YOU MAY DAMAGE THE MESH.
- If the dome screen fits too loosely, use pliers to adjust the edges of the slotted skirt; slightly bending 4 corners is usually adequate.
- This is a sturdy product that should provide many years of protection
